About Jenny Currie

Jenny Currie RN, Ph.D., CNC, MH obtained her nursing degree from the B.G. Alexander College of Nursing in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1976. She is currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the states of Texas and California.

Jenny is a retired nurse midwife having obtained her midwifery post graduate degree at Mowbray, in Cape Town, South Africa in 1977.
She has worked in the USA as an Intensive Care nurse for more than 20 years and was the first RN in the USA to hold a triple certification as a CCRN in Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU and Adult ICU. (Critical Care Registered Nurse) Her adult specialty was Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU.

Dr Currie has a BS and MS in Nutrition and obtained her PhD in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health in Birmingham, Alabama in 1998. Jenny did her doctoral dissertation on "The Natural Approach to Menopause and Andropause."
She is a Certified Nutritional Consultant (CNC) with the American Association of Nutritional Consultants.

Dr Currie is both a Master Herbalist (MH) and Consulting Herbalist. She graduated from the Master Herbalist Program at Clayton College of Natural Health in 2002.

Jenny is a member of:

  • American Association of Nutritional Consultants.
  • American Holistic Health Association.
  • The Coalition of Natural Health.
  • National Association of Nutritional Professionals.

Dr Currie loves to teach and her main goal of consultation is to help you to help yourself attain better health and a healthier lifestyle.
