Some of the symptoms associated with menopause include:
Mood swings, hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, headaches, feeling anxious, depressed or over stressed for no real reason. You may also notice weight gain, especially around your middle, you find your memory is starting to fail you, you may feel more fatigued and you may experience fleeting joint and muscle pains.
Menopause is a natural transition in a woman’s life cycle. Since time began women have taken care of women during all the milestones in their lives; from birth to adolescence to childbirth to menopause. Our female ancestors were very familiar with the use of herbs and specific foods that eased the passage of all these milestones. Today most ladies have lost touch with the old and ancient wisdoms of their ancestors which has led to a lot of unnecessary suffering. There are answers and solutions to all the menopausal problems. Mother Nature has provided us with all the tools and all we have to do is use them. Without the handed down wisdoms of the grandmothers most of us are lost and Ladies it is time to take back control.
Each person is different and there is not one magic food or herb but rather the balance comes from understanding your body’s needs to grant you a smooth passage through your menopause milestone.
Learning to eat a diet that naturally balances your hormones will eliminate many of the menopausal symptoms. These are the wise women years; food is a powerful tool in healthy aging and hormone balance so use it wisely. Mother Nature has given us many herbs and foods to ease this passage and as everyone has a different body and has a different life journey; you will notice that different herbs and foods work well for different people. People cannot be packaged and one size never fits all.
I have spent many years learning about herbs and can be your guide through this process. This is a wonderful time of your life; you can stay healthy and live life to the full. You can improve the quality of your health and longevity by balancing your hormones naturally.
There are many cultures in the world today that have minimal to no menopausal symptoms.
WHY?!
Look at their lifestyle choices, their diet and their exposure to chemicals. Some herbicides, pesticides and petrochemicals including plastics are all molecularly similar to estrogen which tends to increase your hormonal imbalances; as do the hormones fed to the animals (beef and chicken, dairy products and some farmed raised fish) you eat every day. We need to be more conscious of what foods we consume and what chemicals we are exposed to. Eating the right foods can often protect you against these chemicals. Consider buying organically raised foods. Good for you and good for the planet.
